About

Rebekah McEvoy is currently exploring her Art Practice after graduating with a BA(Hons) Design:Applied Arts at Glyndwr University in Wrexham, North Wales.

My work is innovative and intuitive, constantly stretching ideas and experimenting with processes that combine different aspects of the arts. I use forms that are strong and clear while using complex techniques within the materials which drawer the viewer to look closer. Often working with new technology combined with tradition materials and techniques to create sculptures and contemporary Art pieces that display a sense of depth, balance and contrast.

My work draws from the interactions between man and nature and of the human experience.

My ceramic work uses techniques of hand forming, carving and casting to create bold and precision forms that undergo many complex techniques. I choose to work with a diverse range of materials such as ceramic, glass, metals and wood.

I am influenced by the way we feel and sense and like to question the emotional response and how perception of the mind can be integrated and portrayed in art.
